On Friday, Zack Wheeler (10-10) will look to quickly get over one of his worst outings of the year when he and the New York Mets face Julio Teheran (13-12) and the Atlanta Braves.

Right-hander Zack Wheeler lost his 10th game of the season last Saturday when he was beaten by the Washington Nationals at home. He gave up six runs in just four innings of work in that outing and walked two batters while striking out four. Wheeler has struck out 8.9 batters per nine innings this season and he now has a 3.61 ERA.

On player on the Braves who Wheeler does not like facing is first baseman Freddie Freeman, who has seven hits in 13 at-bats against him with two doubles, a home run and five RBI. Chris Johnson is just 2-for-17 against him with a walk and three strikeouts.

Julio Teheran lost his third start in a row last weekend when he was defeated by the Texas Rangers on the road. He pitched pretty well in that start, though, by giving up just three unearned runs in eight innings while striking out six Rangers and walking one. Teheran lowered his ERA to 2.89 in that game and he has only given up 175 hits in 109 innings this year.

Mets first baseman Lucas Duda is 4-for-14 against Teheran in his career with a double and a solo home run. Middle infielder Ruben Tejada is just 1-for-14 against him with no walks and three strikeouts.
