On Tuesday night, veteran Daisuke Matsuzaka will be hoping to end his current two-game losing streak when he and the New York Mets go up against Mike Minor and the Atlanta Braves.

Right-hander Daisuke Matsuzaka lost his second game of the year last week when he was beaten by the Pittsburgh Pirates on the road. He pitched six innings in that game and allowed a season-high five runs on five hits while walking four and striking out four. On the year, he is 3-2 with a 3.23 ERA and he has only given up 33 hits in 53 innings.

Braves outfielder B.J. Upton has just three hits in 21 at-bats versus Matsuzaka with a home run and six strikeouts. First baseman Freddie Freeman is 2-for-4 against him with a double, a home run and five RBI.

Left-hander Mike Minor lost his fifth game of the year last Thursday when he gave up five runs to them in six innings of work. He allowed seven hits in that game and walked two batters while striking out five. Minor is now 2-5 on the year with a 4.50 ERA and he has given up 78 hits in 66 innings.

Mets third baseman David Wright is just 5-for-20 against Minor, but he does have two doubles and two home runs against him. Lucas Duda is 5-for-16 against the lefty with a double and a home run.
