Big right-hander Kyle Gibson will try to bounce back from one of his worst starts of the season when he and the Minnesota Twins go up against Colby Lewis and the Texas Rangers on Sunday afternoon.

Kyle Gibson could only make it through two innings against the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday and ended up suffering his sixth loss of the season. He gave up seven runs, which matched his season-high, and he could only strike out one batter while walking two. Gibson now has a 6-6 record this year and he has only given up five home runs on 85 innings of work.

Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus is hitless in three at-bats against Gibson and the right-hander has struck him out twice. None of the Rangers have faced Gibson more than three times.

In his last start, Colby Lewis lost his fifth game of the year when he was defeated by the Detroit Tigers at home. He pitched 6.1 innings in that start and allowed four earned runs on nine hits while striking out six and walking no one. Lewis has had a tough season so far, going 5-5 with a 5.94 ERA and he has given up 101 hits in 69.2 innings.

Twins catcher Kurt Suzuki has hit two home runs off of Lewis, but he is just 4-for-26 against him overall. Veteran outfielder Josh Willingham is 6-for-19 against Lewis with two doubles and three home runs.
