On Sunday afternoon, Samuel Deduno will be on the mound for the Minnesota Twins and will face Madison Bumgarner of the San Francisco Giants.

Right-hander Samuel Deduno was able to pick up his first win of the season when he defeated the Seattle Mariners at home last Saturday. He went six strong innings in that outing and allowed just two runs on two hits while walking two and striking out four. He has had some issues with control this year, but he still has a 3.53 ERA and has struck out 29 batters in 35.2 innings.

Deduno will be facing most of the Giants for the first time at the Major League level on Sunday. He did strike out catcher Buster Posey in their one and only matchup.

Left-hander Madison Bumgarner wasn't able win his fourth start in a row last week, but he did pitch well against the Colorado Rockies and ended up with a no decision. He went six innings in that start and allowed three runs on eight hits while striking out six and walking one. He has a 5-3 record on the season with a 3.38 ERA and has struck out 10 batters per nine innings.

First baseman Joe Mauer had a hit and an RBI in his only at-bat against Bumgarner, while catcher Kurt Suzuki is 1-for-3 against him with no strikeouts.
