Ricky Nolasco will be going for his first win in more than a month when he and the Minnesota Twins go up against Ryan Vogelsong and the San Francisco Giants Saturday night.

Right-hander Ricky Nolasco pitched five innings in his game against the Seattle Mariners in his last start and ended up with his fourth loss of the season. He gave up three earned runs on six hits in that game and walked three while striking out three. Nolasco has had a rough season and now has a 2-4 record with a 5.50 ERA through nine starts.

Giants outfielder Hunter Pence has done very well against Nolasco in his career by notching 10 hits in 32 at-bats with two doubles, four home runs and 11 RBI. Gregor Blanco is 8-for-19 against the right-hander.

Ryan Vogelsong pitched seven shutout innings against the Miami Marlins last Sunday and was able to pick up his second win of the season. He gave up just five hits in those seven innings of work while striking out six and walking just one batter. He lowered his ERA to 3.62 in the win and his 7.1 K/9 is about a strikeout and a half better than it was in 2013.

Twins catcher Kurt Suzuki has faced Vogelsong more than any of his teammates and he is 2-for-8 against him with a double and three RBI.
