Second-year starter Kyle Gibson is coming off one of his better starts of the season and will be hoping to carry that momentum into his next start when he and the Minnesota Twins face Matt Garza and the Milwaukee Brewers.

Kyle Gibson didn't ended up with the win against the Texas Rangers last week, but he did pitch six scoreless innings in that game and didn't walk a batter. He allowed just six hits in that outing and struck out four. Gibson has a 4-4 record this year and has struck out just 29 batters in 56 innings of work.

Veteran hitter Lyle Overbay is the only player on the Brewers who has had an at-bat against Gibson. He is 1-for-3 against him with three walks.

Matt Garza took his second straight no decision last Tuesday when he pitched 6.2 innings at home against the Baltimore Orioles. He allowed six runs in that game, but only three of them were earned. He struck out nine Orioles while walking just two. Garza has struck out 56 batters in 67 innings this season and he has only given up seven home runs.

Veteran Jason Kubel has gone up against Garza nine times in his career and has just one hit, which happened to be a home run. Catcher Kurt Suzuki has just one hit in seven at-bats against the right-hander.
