On Monday night, Kevin Correia (5-13) will attempt to win his first game since July 12 when he and the Minnesota Twins face off against Brad Peacock (3-8) and the Houston Astros.

Kevin Correia pitched six innings against the San Diego Padres last week and ended up with a no decision. He allowed three runs on five base hits in that game while walking one batters and striking out three. Correia has given up a whopping 157 hits in 129.1 innings this year and now has a 4.94 ERA.

Astros catcher Jason Castro only has two hits in eight at-bats versus Correia in his career, but he also has a home run and four RBI against him. All-Star second baseman Jose Altuve is just 1-for-9 against him with two walks.

Last Wednesday, Brad Peacock lost his third consecutive game when he was beaten by the Philadelphia Phillies on the road. He went five innings in that start and allowed a season-high eight earned runs on seven hits while walking four batters and striking out four. He now has a 5.44 ERA and he has given up 9.5 hits per nine innings this season.

Twins outfielder Oswaldo Arcia has one hit in three at-bats against Peacock with a solo home run and a strikeout. None of the Twins have faced the right-hander more than three times in their careers.
