On Saturday, May 10, the Minnesota Twins will travel to Comerica Park to take on the Detroit Tigers in an American League Central showdown. Kyle Gibson will take the mound for the Twins while Max Scherzer will pitch for the Tigers.

Kyle Gibson comes into Saturday’s matchup holding a 3-2 record and a 3.50 ERA. Gibson got the no decision on May 5 when he faced the Cleveland Indians. Max Scherzer is coming into this game riding a four game win streak. He last faced the Houston Astros and pitched eight scoreless innings only allowing three hits and giving up one walk. Scherzer claims a scorching 1.72 ERA and a 4-1 record over 47 innings.

Minnesota batters are hitting .245 versus Scherzer. Joe Mauer is 8-for-26 against Scherzer with a home run. Scherzer will also have be careful when facing Josh Willingham who has two home runs and a double off the five hits he’s acquired against Scherzer.
