Right-hander Samuel Deduno will get the call for the Minnesota Twins when they take on veteran Anibal Sanchez and the Detroit Tigers on Saturday afternoon.

Samuel Deduno had his shortest start of the season on Sunday against the Houston Astros when he was hit up for five runs on three hits in just three innings of work. One of those hits was a home run and he walked four in the game while only striking out one batter. On the season, Deduno is 2-4 with a 4.45 ERA and he has only given up three homers in 54.2 innings.

Tigers outfielder Austin Jackson has five hits in 12 at-bats against Deduno in his career with a home run and two RBI. Alex Avila is just 1-for-11 against the right-hander with one RBI and five strikeouts.

On Sunday against the Boston Red Sox, Anibal Sanchez had his third straight hard-luck no decision when he went six innings and only allowed two earned runs. He gave up six hits in that game and struck out seven while walking two. Sanchez has a 2-2 record this season through 10 starts, but he deserves better as he also has a 2.24 ERA and has only given up 36 hits in 56.1 innings.

Veteran outfielder Josh Willingham has struggled against Sanchez in his career, getting just two hits in 16 at-bats with seven strikeouts. Trevor Plouffe is the only player on the Twins who has been able to hit a home run off of him.
