On Saturday, Ricky Nolasco (5-12) will try to win his first game in five starts this month when he and the Minnesota Twins face off against Kyle Lobstein (1-1) and the Detroit Tigers.

In his last outing, Ricky Nolasco took the loss against the Arizona Diamondbacks after giving up five runs in 4.2 innings of work. He allowed nine base hits in that game and walked one batter while striking out five. Nolasco now has a 5.47 ERA following that loss and he has given up a career-worst 11.6 hits per nine innings.

Tigers second baseman Ian Kinsler is 5-for-9 against Nolasco in his career with three doubles and two RBI. First baseman Miguel Cabrera has just one hit off of him in six at-bats with no walks and three strikeouts.

Rookie left-hander Kyle Lobstein had a pretty good outing against the Chicago White Sox last Sunday, but he ended up taking the loss. He pitched seven innings in that game and gave up just two runs on five hits while striking out five and walking one. Lobstein has a 3.38 ERA this year and he has struck out 23 hitters in 34.2 innings.

Twins infielder Eduardo Escobar has two hits in three plate appearances against Lobstein with a double and no strikeouts. Eric Fryer is hitless in three at-bats against Lobstein in his career with no walks and no strikeouts.
