Kevin Correia will be hoping to end his three-game losing streak when he and the Minnesota Twins go up against Tyler Matzek and the Colorado Rockies on Saturday afternoon.

In his last start, Kevin Correia pitched pretty well against the Seattle Mariners, but he still took the loss because he got no help from his offense in that game. Correia pitched seven innings in that outing and gave up two runs on five hits while striking out one and walking three. Correia is now 4-11 on the year with a 4.79 ERA and he has given up 122 hits in 103.1 innings.

Rockies outfielder Drew Stubbs has hit a home run off of Correia, but he is just 3-for-17 overall against him in his career. Shortstop Troy Tulowitzki has also struggled against the right-hander, going 6-for-26 against him with three strikeouts.

Rookie starter Tyler Matzek picked up his third loss of the year when he was beaten by the San Diego Padres at home on Monday. He pitched six innings in that game and gave up five earned runs on eight hits while striking out four batters and walking four. Matzek has only given up two home runs in his 35.2 innings of work this season, but he has also only struck out 22 batters.

The Twins will be facing Matzek for the first time on Saturday afternoon.
