On Friday night, Kris Johnson is expected to get called up from the minors and pitch for the Minnesota Twins when they face off against Jorge De La Rosa and the Colorado Rockies.

Left-hander Kris Johnson made his first and only start back on May 1 against the the Los Angeles Dodgers and ended up taking the no decision. In that game, he pitched four scoreless innings and struck out five batters. He also walked six batters in that outing after throwing just 59 of his 106 pitches for strikes.

In Triple-A this season, Johnson has pitched in 16 games and has an 8-4 record with a 2.75 ERA. He has 83 strikeouts in 98.1 innings and has only given up 78 base hits and six home runs.

Left-hander Jorge De La Rosa pitched six solid innings in his start against the Los Angeles Dodgers last Saturday and came away with his ninth win of the year. He gave up two runs on just three hits in that outing and walked three batters while striking out three. De La Rosa is now 9-6 through 18 starts and he has given up just 85 hits in 96.2 innings.

Twins outfielder Josh Willingham has three hits in his eight at-bats against De La Rosa with six walks and two RBI. None of the current Twins have been able to hit a home run off of the lefty yet.
