Two of the worst teams in the American League Central will collide at U.S. Cellular Field on Saturday night when the Minnesota Twins play the Chicago White Sox. The Twins will send left-hander and former Oakland Athletic Tommy Milone (6-4) to the mound to take on the White Sox and right-hander Scott Carroll (5-10).

Since being traded to the Twins in July after being demoted, Milone has struggled, going just 0-1 in 5 starts. He has lasted just 20.2 innings in those starts, allowing 17 earned runs on 36 hits with 11 walks and only 12 strikeouts. His ERA since joining Minnesota is 7.40 and overall is now 4.23, up nearly a full point since his time in Oakland. In his career against current White Sox players, he has allowed 13 hits in 61 at-bats, with Tyler Flowers claiming the lone home run.

Carroll will be making his 18th start of the season for the Twins and 24th overall appearance. He hasn’t been very good for the fourth place White Sox, allowing 63 earned runs in 115.1 innings on 137 hits and 38 walks. He has recorded just 53 strikeouts and has an atrocious 1.53 WHIP and .299 BAA. He has lost 3 straight starts and will look to keep the White Sox ahead of the Twins in the Central. In his career against current Minnesota players, he has allowed 11 hits in 53 at-bats. He hasn’t allowed a home run and has given up just 5 extra-base hits.
