On Friday night, rookie Logan Darnell (0-1) will be making his second Major League start when he and the Minnesota Twins face Chris Sale (10-1) and the Chicago White Sox.

Logan Darnell made his second appearance and his first start for the Twins last Saturday and ended up getting beaten pretty badly. He lasted five innings in that game and allowed seven earned runs on 11 hits while striking out seven batters and walking no one. He now has a 7.88 ERA and has given up 11 hits in eight innings on the mound.

In that game against Darnell, White Sox shortstop Alexei Ramirez had two hits in three at-bats against the left-hander with a home run and two RBI.

Chris Sale had another strong outing for the White Sox last week when he was able to beat the Minnesota Twins on the road. He pitched eight shutout innings in that start and gave up just five hits while walking two and striking out 12. The left-hander now has a fantastic 1.88 ERA on the year and he has struck out 122 batters in 110 innings.

Twins infielder Brian Dozier has just four hits in his 17 at-bats against Sale, but he has hit two home runs off of him. Outfielder Josh Willingham is just 4-for-22 against him in his career with three walks and 12 strikeouts.
