On Tuesday night, Phil Hughes will be going for his eighth win of the season when the Minnesota Twins take on Jon Lester and the Boston Red Sox.

Right-hander Phil Hughes won his seventh game of the year the last time he was on the mound when he beat the Toronto Blue Jays on the road. He pitched seven scoreless innings in that game and gave up seven hits while striking out nine and walking no one. Jon Lester went 7.2 innings against the Cleveland Indians on Thursday and picked up his seventh win of the season. He allowed just one earned run in that game on eight hits while walking one and striking out four. Lester is now 7-7 with a 3.33 ERA and has struck out 99 hitters in 92 innings.

First baseman Joe Mauer is 7-for-20 against Lester in his career with two doubles and four RBI. Eduardo Nunez has just two hits against him in 15 at-bats with a walk, one RBI and five strikeouts.
