Tuesday afternoon, the Milwaukee Brewers will give the ball to Marco Estrada as they take on the Toronto Blue Jays and Drew Hutchison.  Both pitchers will be making their 17th starts of the season.

Marco Estrada won his 2nd straight start his last time out and that boosted his record to 7 – 4 with a 5.06 ERA.  In the win, Estrada allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 6.1 innings of work.  He walked 4 while striking out 4. Estrada has already matched his 2013 record of 7 – 4 but he had a lower ERA at 3.87 in 21 starts.

Last season, Estrada didn’t start against the Blue Jays and he has only faced 5 of their hitters in the past.  Jose Reyes is 4 for 11 against Estrada with a double, a triple and 3 RBIs.

Drew Hutchison dropped his 2nd straight game in his last outing and that lowered his record to 5 – 6 with a 4.00 ERA.  In the loss, Hutchison went 6 innings and gave up 4 runs on 7 hits (including a homer) while walking 2 and striking out 6.  During his last Major League season in 2012, Hutchison went 5 - 3 with a 4.60 ERA in 11 starts.

Hutchison didn’t face the Brewers in 2012 and he has only opposed one of their hitters in his career.  Mark Reynolds is 2 for 4 against Hutchison.
