Veteran Kyle Lohse (12-9), who has a 7.71 ERA in his last three starts, will be on the mound for the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday when they face Shelby Miller (10-9) and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Kyle Lohse pitched 6.2 innings against the Cincinnati Reds last Friday and finished with a no decision. He gave up two runs on five base hits in that outing while walking two hitters and striking out six. On the year, Lohse now has a 3.81 ERA and he has only walked 44 batters in 182 innings of work.

Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina is 11-for-20 against Lohse in his career with three doubles, three home runs and eight RBI. Matt Carpenter has just one hit in his 14 at-bats against the right-hander with three walks and four strikeouts.

23-year-old Shelby Miller had a strong start against the Colorado Rockies last weekend and ended up picking up his second straight win. He ended up pitching six innings in that game and gave up just one earned run on five hits while striking out five hitters and walking no one. Miller lowered his ERA to 3.75 with that win and he has only given up 150 hits in 172.2 innings.

Brewers third baseman Aramis Ramirez has six hits in 13 at-bats against Miller with two home runs and five RBI. Jean Segura is hitless in 15 at-bats against Miller with no walks and six strikeouts.
