Third-year starter Wily Peralta (16-10), who has a 7.30 ERA in his last four starts, will take the mound for the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday night when they face veteran John Lackey (2-2) and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Last Wednesday, Wily Peralta pitched 6.2 innings against the Miami Marlins and picked up the win. He allowed just one run on five base hits in that start while striking out five hitters and walking three. On the year, the right-hander has given up 9.3 hits per nine innings and now owns a 3.75 ERA.

One player on the Cardinals who Peralta does not like to face is outfielder Matt Holliday, who has eight hits in 18 at-bats against him with two home runs and five RBI. First baseman Matt Adams is just 2-for-14 against him in his career with a walk and three strikeouts.

John Lackey only made it through two innings in his start against the Cincinnati Reds on the road last Wednesday and finished with a no decision. He gave up two runs on four base hits in that game while walking two batters and striking out one. Lackey now has a 3.97 ERA on the year and he has struck out 151 batters in 183.2 innings.

Brewers veteran Lyle Overbay is 13-for-36 against Lackey in his career with six doubles and six RBI. Mark Reynolds is just 3-for-14 against him with a walk, a home run and nine strikeouts.
