On Saturday, Mike Fiers (4-1) will attempt to win his fifth game in a row when he and the Milwaukee Brewers go up against Jake Peavy (2-4) and the San Francisco Giants.

Mike Fiers made his eighth start of the season for the Brewers on Sunday and was able to beat the Pittsburgh Pirates at home. The right-hander pitched seven innings in that outing and allowed just two runs on two base hits while striking out seven batters and walking one. Fiers now has a 1.54 ERA on the year and he has only given up 16 hits in his 35 innings on the mound.

Giants veteran outfielder Michael Morse has one single and a walk in two at-bats against Fiers in his career. None of the other giants have faced him more than one time.

Jake Peavy ended up losing in his start against the Colorado Rockies on Monday, but he certainty pitched well enough to get the win. He went seven innings in that game and gave up three runs (one earned) on six base hits while striking out five batters and walking one. He currently has a 4.34 ERA and he has struck out seven batters per nine innings.

Brewers All-Star Jonathan Lucroy is 4-for-5 against Peavy in his career with two doubles and a solo home run. Lyle Overbay is just 1-for-10 against him with five walks and three strikeouts.
