On Monday night, Kyle Lohse (11-7) will attempt to pick up his first August win when he and the Milwaukee Brewers face off against Eric Stults (6-13) and the San Diego Padres.

In his last start, Kyle Lohse was only able to make it through three innings against the Chicago Cubs and ended up taking the loss. He allowed four runs on seven base hits in that start and he walked one batter while striking out three. He still has a solid 3.49 ERA on the year and he has only walked 34 batters in 159.2 innings of work.

Padres outfielder Will Venable is 6-for-16 against Lohse in his career with a double and an RBI. None of the current Padres have been able to hit a home run off of Lohse yet.

Eric Stults was able to pick up his third win in four games last Wednesday when he defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers on the road. He pitched five innings in that outing and allowed just one run on four hits while walking one and striking out five. Stults now has a 4.53 ERA on the year and has given up 149 hits in 135 innings.

Brewers outfielder Gerardo Parra has hit a home run off of Stults in his career, but he is just 3-for-24 overall against him with five strikeouts. Mark Reynolds is 1-for-5 against him with a home run.
