30-year-old starter Marco Estrada will be looking to end his recent string of bad outings when the Milwaukee Brewers take on Colorado Rockies rookie Christian Bergman on Friday night.

Marco Estrada lost his second straight game and his fourth overall on Sunday when he was beaten by the Cincinnati Reds at home. He pitched five innings in that start and allowed five earned runs on eight hits, including three home runs, while walking no one and striking out three. Estrada has a winning record at 5-4 this season, but he also has a 4.82 ERA and he has given up 23 home runs in 84 innings.

Drew Stubbs has struggled against Estrada over the years, going 1-for-15 against him with a walk and eight strikeouts. Shortstop Troy Tulowitzki has two hits in six at-bats against him with two homers and two RBI.

Right-hander Christian Bergman made his second Major League start on Saturday against the Atlanta Braves and ended up taking a no decision. He went six innings in that game and allowed three runs on eight hits while striking out three and walking none. In 12 innings, Bergman has struck out seven, walked two and he has given up 14 hits.

All of the Rockies will be going up against Bergman for the first time on Friday night. Right-handed hitters are hitting .296 against him so far and they have the only two home runs that he has given up.
