On Wednesday, Kyle Lohse (12-9) will try to pick up his first win of the month when he and the Milwaukee Brewers go up against rookie right-hander Daniel Corcino (0-1) and the Cincinnati Reds.

Last Thursday, Kyle Lohse gave up just one run in 7.1 innings against the St. Louis Cardinals on the road, but all he could get out of that start was a no decision. He only allowed four base hits in that game and walked one batter while striking out two. Lohse currently has a 3.71 ERA and he has walked 2.1 batters per nine innings.

Reds veteran Ryan Ludwick is just 4-for-34 against Lohse in his career with a walk and eight strikeouts. Outfielder Jay Bruce is 12-for-42 against him with three doubles, a triple and a home run.

Daniel Corcino made his fourth start of the season last Wednesday when he was beaten by the Chicago Cubs on the road. He went 5.2 innings in that game and gave up two runs on three hits while walking four batters and striking out six. He actually lowered his ERA to 4.40 in that loss and he has now struck out 13 batters in 14.1 innings.

Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy has one hit in his two at-bats against Corcino with a walk and an RBI. None of the Brewers have faced Corcino more than three times.
