Tuesday evening, the Milwaukee Brewers will send Yovani Gallardo to the hill to face the Atlanta Braves and Julio Teheran.  Both pitchers will be making their 10th starts of the season.

Yovani Gallardo pitched to a no decision his last time out and that left his record at 2 – 2 with an ERA of 3.07.  In that start, Gallardo gave up 3 runs on 5 hits (including 2 home runs) in 6.1 innings of work.  He walked 2 while striking out 6.  In 2013, Gallardo was 12 - 10 with a 4.18 ERA in 31 starts. 

Last season, Gallardo didn’t face the Braves but he made his 1st start of this season against Atlanta. In that start, Gallardo got the win after pitching 6 innings of shutout ball and allowing just 4 hits and 2 walks while striking out 4.

Julio Teheran saw his record fall to 2 – 3 and his ERA rise to 2.20 after losing his last time out.  Teheran was lit up for 5 runs on 7 hits (including a home run) in just 3.1 innings of work.  He walked 5 and struck out 4 amid some issues concerning his grip on the ball.  Those issues might purely be psychological as no health related reason was found.  Last season, Teheran was a solid 14 – 8 with an ERA of 3.20 in 30 starts.

In 2013, Teheran lost his only start against the Brewers and he took a loss in his only start against Milwaukee this season as well.  In that start, Teheran gave up 2 runs on 7 hits through 6 innings of work.
