On Thursday night, Matt Garza will take the mound for the Milwaukee Brewers when they face Aaron Harang and the Atlanta Braves.

Matt Garza lost for the fourth time this season when he was beaten by the Chicago Cubs last weekend, but he did pitch pretty well in that game. He went seven innings against the Cubs and gave up three runs on just four hits while striking out seven and walking one. His ERA currently sits at 4.83, but his 3.44 FIP suggests that he has been a bit unlucky so far this season.

Garza has done well against the Braves' Dan Uggla, who has just four hits in 18 at-bats against the veteran right-hander. First baseman Freddie Freeman is 4-for-10 against Garza with a home run and two RBI.

Aaron Harang now has a 4-4 record after taking the loss against the St. Louis Cardinals last week. He pitched six innings in that outing and gave up two earned runs on six hits while walking no one and striking out seven. He still has a very good 2.98 ERA and has struck out 59 hitters through 54.1 innings pitched.

Rickie Weeks does have a .289 batting average against Harang through 45 at-bats, but he has yet to get an extra-base hit against him. Ryan Braun is just 7-for-32 against him, but three of those hits were solo home runs.
