Veteran pitcher Matt Garza will be on the mound for the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday night when they take on rookie starter Chase Anderson and the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Right-hander Matt Garza gave up five runs (one earned) in seven innings of work last Friday against the Cincinnati Reds in a game the Reds ended up winning 5-6. He gave up seven hits in that outing and walked one while striking out just one. He is 4-4 on then year with a 4.17 ERA and he has only been able to strike out 6.9 batters per nine innings this season, which is his worst strikeout rate since 2010.

Diamondbacks second baseman Aaron Hill has 14 hits in 26 at-bats against Garza with two doubles and five RBI. Gerardo Parra is 6-for-14 against him with two doubles and two triples.

Right-hander Chase Anderson picked up the first loss of his career last week against the Los Angeles Dodgers after going five innings and giving up two earned runs. He allowed four hits in that game and walked four while striking out four. Through six starts, he is 5-1 with a 3.21 ERA and he has received a whopping 8.47 runs of run support so far this season.

The Brewers will be facing Anderson for the first time on Wednesday. Their right-handed hitters may be looking forward to the matchup because so far they have a 1.016 OPS against him.
