Milwaukee Brewers starter Wily Peralta will be going for his seventh win of the season on Monday night when he takes on Brandon McCarthy and the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Right-hander Wily Peralta won his second game in a row and his sixth overall on Wednesday when he beat the New York Mets on the road. He went 6.1 innings in that game and allowed just one run on four hits while walking one and striking out three. This season, Peralta has a 6-5 record with a 2.90 ERA and he has only given up 77 hits in 80.2 innings.

Diamondbacks third baseman Martin Prado doesn't have an extra-base hit against Peralta yet, but he is 4-for-10 against him without a strikeout. Paul Goldschmidt and Miguel Montero are the only two Diamondbacks who have been able to hit home runs off of Peralta.

Brandon McCarthy lost for the ninth time this season on Wednesday when he was beaten by the Houston Astros on the road. He went six innings in that start and allowed five earned runs on eight hits while walking two and striking out four. McCarthy is 1-9 this year with a 5.29 ERA and he has given up 100 hits in 85 innings of work.

Veteran Lyle Overbay has six hits in 12 at-bats against McCarthy in his career with two doubles, three walks and an RBI.
