Miami Marlins starting pitcher Tom Koehler will try to go to 2-0 when he goes up against Jordan Zimmermann and the Washington Nationals on Thursday in the last game of a three-game series.

Tom Koehler was impressive in his first start of the season, giving up just two runs over six innings of work against the San Diego Padres. Koehler gave up seven hits, struck out one and walked one and the Marlins ended up winning the game 8-2.

One Nats' hitter that Koehler will not be looking forward to facing is third baseman Ryan Zimmerman, who is 4-for-5 against the righty with a home run and two RBI in their matchups. Outfielders Jayson Werth and Bryce Harper also have hit home runs against Koehler in limited plate appearances.

Jordan Zimmermann got the no-decision when he faced the Atlanta Braves in his first start of the season. He only went five innings, but he did well by giving up just one run on four hits while striking out nine. He was getting over the flu in his start, so he was limited to just 81 pitches in the game.

Zimmermann has held Miami outfielder Giancarlo Stanton to just three hits in 20 matchups, but all three of those hits were home runs. Greg Dobbs has faced Zimmermann 15 times in his career and has five hits, including a double and a home run.
