Tom Koehler will be trying to end his two-game losing streak on Wednesday night when he and the Miami Marlins take on left-hander David Price and the Tampa Bay Rays.

Tom Koehler lost his fifth game of the season last Friday when he was beaten by the Atlanta Braves at home. He went seven innings in that start and allowed three runs on seven hits while walking four and striking out five. He has a 4-5 record on the season now, but he does have a 3.18 ERA and he's given up just 54 hits in 68 innings.

Matthew Joyce has faced Koehler four times in his career and he has a double and a strikeout. Shortstop Yunel Escobar is the only player on the Rays who has an RBI against the young righty.

Last Friday, David Price pitched well enough against the Boston Red Sox to pick up the victory, but he didn't get much run support and ended up having to settle for a no decision. He pitched seven strong innings in that game and allowed just two runs on six hits while striking out six and walking one. His 4.27 ERA is about a run higher than his career ERA, but his 3.24 WHIP suggest that he has been a bit unlucky this year.

Catcher Jeff Mathis has gone up against Price more than any of his Marlin teammates. He is 4-for-17 against him with a double, a home run and six strikeouts.
