He walked 3 while striking out 4. Miller had been experiencing some back soreness and that could have contributed to the bad outing. Last season, Miller posted a record of 15 - 9 with a 3.06 ERA in 31 starts.

In 2013, Miller didn't face the Marlins and he has only opposed one of Miami's hitters in the past. But Garrett Jones is red hot against Miller with a .700 average (7 for 10), 2 home runs and 5 RBIs.
