On Saturday night, 27-year-old starter Tom Koehler and the Miami Marlins will go up against Tim Lincecum and the San Francisco Giants.

Right-hander Tom Koehler lost for the third time this past Monday when he only made it through 3.2 innings against the Los Angeles Dodgers. He gave up four earned runs and walked five in that outing while only striking out one batter. He still has a very good 2.57 ERA and has given up just 34 hits in 49 innings pitched.

Outfielder Gregor Blanco is 3-for-6 against Koehler in his career, while fellow outfielder Hunter Pence has two hits in six at-bats against him with a home run and three RBI.

Tim Lincecum had one of his best starts of the season last week against the Atlanta Braves and was able to pick up his third win of the season. He pitched a season-high 7.2 innings in that game and gave up just one earned run on two hits while striking out 11 and walking four. He now has a 3-2 record on the season with a 4.78 ERA and his K/9 is now up to 9.6.

First baseman Garrett Jones has just four hits in 17 plate appearances against Lincecum, but two of those hits were home runs. Reed Johnson has only one hit against the former Cy Young winner in 11 career at-bats.
