The Miami Marlins will send Tom Koehler to the mound on Sunday afternoon to face Dillon Gee and the New York Mets.

Tom Koehler did well in his start against the Atlanta Braves on Monday, but he didn’t end up factoring into the decision. He pitched 6.1 innings in the game and gave up just two earned runs on five hits while striking out a season-high eight and walking two. He now has a 2.13 ERA through four starts and a solid 1.105 WHIP.

Daniel Murphy has faced Koehler more than any of his teammates and has actually had the most success by going 4-for-11 with a home run and two RBI. Lucas Duda is hitless against the right-hander in seven career plate appearances.

Dillon Gee followed up his first win of the season with his first loss on Tuesday night when he went up against the St. Louis Cardinals. He pitched pretty well in that game, though, by going six innings and giving up just two runs on six hits. Gee now has a 3.58 ERA and has given up just 25 hits in 32.2 innings.

Greg Dobbs will probably be in the lineup for the Marlins on Gee Sunday because he has two hits, including a home run, in five at-bats against him. Marlins star Giancarlo Stanton has just one hit in seven at-bats against Gee, though that one hit was a home run.
