On Wednesday, right-hander Jarred Cosart (4-1) will try to win his third start in a row when the Miami Marlins face off against Wily Peralta (15-10) and the Milwaukee Brewers.

Last Friday, Jarred Cosart pitched a solid 7.2 innings against the Atlanta Braves and was able to win the game. He gave up three runs on five hits in that start and struck out six batters while walking one. Cosart now has a 3.78 ERA on the year and he has only given up a total of eight home runs in 157 innings of work.

Brewers outfielder Gerardo Parra has one hit in two at-bats against Cosart in his career with a walk and a strikeout. All of the other Brewers will be going up against the right-hander for the first time on Wednesday night.

Wily Peralta lost his third game in a row last Thursday when he was beaten bu the St. Louis Cardinals at home. He went six innings in that game and gave up three runs on seven base hits while walking two batters and striking out seven. Peralta has given up 178 hits and 22 home runs in 171 innings this season and he now has a 3.84 ERA.

Marlins All-Star Giancarlo Stanton is hitless in nine at-bats against Peralta with three walks and four strikeouts. Marcell Ozuna is just 1-for-9 against him with no walks and one strikeout.
