Monday night, Jarred Cosart (10 – 8, 4.14 ERA) takes the mound for the Miami Marlins as they take on Wade LeBlanc (0 - 0, 7.36 ERA) and the Los Angeles Angels.   Cosart will make his 24th start as LeBlanc makes his 1st start and 3rd appearance.

Wade LeBlanc will make his 1st start of the season after getting the call from Triple-A Salt Lake City.  LeBlanc started the year at Salt Lake City but was called up to Anaheim in late May.  After a single relief appearance, he was designated for assignment and ultimately picked up by the New York Yankees.  After making a relief appearance for New York, he was designated for assignment again.  He ended up back in Anaheim in late June and was at Triple-A until he got the call.  LeBlanc was 10 – 3 with a 4.00 ERA in 21 starts at Salt Lake City.   Last season, LeBlanc was 1 -5 with a 5.40 ERA in 7 starts and 10 relief appearances for the Houston Astros and Miami Marlins.

LeBlanc has faced 6 of the Marlins in the past and they are batting .226 against him with 7 hits, 2 homers and 6 RBIs in 31 at-bats.
