23-year-old Jacob Turner will be on the mound for the Miami Marlins on Sunday afternoon when they take on Brett Oberholtzer and the Houston Astros.

Jacob Turner pitched pretty well against the Atlanta Braves last Tuesday and was able to come away with his third win of the year. He went five innings in that start and allowed just two runs on four hits while walking two batters and striking out four. He is currently 3-6 on the year with a very high 6.03 ERA and he has given up 11.8 hits per nine innings.

This will be the first time that any of the Astros will get to face Turner. So far this season, right-handed hitters are batting .343 against Turner, while left-handed hitters have a .283 batting average against him.

Last Tuesday, Brett Oberholtzer pitched well enough to get the win against the Oakland Athletics, but he had to settle for the no decision in a game the Astros ended up winning 3-2. He went seven innings in that outing and gave up just two runs on six base hits while striking out no one and walking two. On the year, Oberholtzer is 2-7, but he has only received 2.59 runs per nine innings from his offense in his starts.

Marlins veteran Jeff Baker is hitless in his three at-bats against Oberholtzer with one strikeout. The only other Marlin who has faced Oberholtzer is Jarrod Saltalamacchia, who is 0-for-2 against him with a walk.
