Brad Hand (2-5), who hasn't won a game since back on July 25, will be making the start for the Miami Marlins when they face rookie Christian Bergman (0-2) and the Colorado Rockies on Sunday afternoon.

Brad Hand last made a start for the Marlins back on August 15 when he took the loss against the Arizona Diamondbacks at home. He pitched seven innings in that outing and gave up three runs on five hits while striking out three and walking two. Hand now has a 4.52 ERA on the year and he has only given up eight home runs in 79.2 innings of work.

Rockies veteran Michael Cuddyer has a single in his only plate appearance against Hand. None of the Rockies have faced Hand more than once in their careers.

Christian Bergman hasn't made a start for the Rockies since way back on June 20. In that game, he was beaten by the Milwaukee Brewers after giving up seven runs in three innings. In the minors this season, he has a 5-5 record through 15 starts with a 4.19 ERA and he has only walked 18 batters in 92.1 innings on the mound.

All of the Marlins will be getting their first chance to go up against Bergman on Sunday afternoon. In 41 at-bats this season, right-handed batters are hitting .390 against him with five home runs and just six strikeouts.
