It's getaway day on Wednesday for the Marlins and Nathan Eovaldi (1-1). They'll have a tough time getting away from their poor play recently against the Braves and Aaron Harang (3-1), who has experienced a career resurgence of sorts early in 2014. Eovaldi has been mediocre at best for most of the season but did have a good outing last time out, allowing just 1 run over 6 innings. In three starts prior the 24-year-old pitcher gave up 2,3, and 4 runs for a season ERA of 3.55.

Eovaldi did shut down the Braves in 2013, making two starts without allowing a single run. The pitcher was 1-0 and allowed just 8 hits over a scoreless 15 innings while fanning 14 Atlanta batters. Four Braves players have faced Eovaldi a dozen or more times and only Jason Heyward (4/12, .333) has hit over .300 over that time.

Harang was just 5-12 last year while jettisoning between the Mariners and Mets but the Braves took a small chance on him with a 1 year, $1 million contract. He's paid off early by allowing just two runs all season including two shutout starts. Harang's ERA sits at an astounding 0.70 and only an April 8th game where the Braves offense provided 0 run support separates him from a perfect record.

Harang has carried a no-hitter into the 7th in two of his four starts but that might be tough against a Marlins team that has hit him well. The current Miami lineup is 35 for 85 (.412) over their careers against Harang, and every player besides Giancarlo Stanton (.250) is hitting above .333 in their lifetime facing the pitcher.
