On Sunday afternoon, Nathan Eovaldi (6-9) will try to snap his current three-game losing streak when he and the Miami Marlins face left-hander Alex Wood (9-10) and the Atlanta Braves.

Nathan Eovaldi had another rough start last week when he was b¬¬¬eaten by the Los Angeles Angels on the road. He went just 3.1 innings in that start and allowed six runs on 10 base hits while walking one batter and striking out four. He now has a 4.30 ERA this season and he has given up 177 hits in 165.1 innings on the mound.

Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman has hit a home run off of Eovaldi in his career, but he is just 4-for-26 overall against him with two strikeouts. Jason Heyward is 11-for-25 against him with two doubles, a triple and two RBI.

Last Tuesday, Alex Wood had a decent start against the New York Mets on the road, but he ended up taking the loss. In that game, Wood went seven innings and allowed three runs on five hits while striking out six batters and walking one. He currently owns a 3.09 ERA and he has struck out 8.5 batters per nine innings.

Marlins All-Star Giancarlo Stanton has two hits in 10 at-bats against Wood with a double and a home run.
