After a week-long road trip, the Atlanta Braves are returning home to Turner Field where they are taking on the Miami Marlins. On the mound for the visiting Marlins will be right-hander Jarred Cosart (11-8), while the Braves will counter with right-hander Aaron Harang (10-8).

In Cosart, the Marlins have a 24-year-old rookie that has a lot of talent and can compete with the best players in the sport. The Marlins acquired the rookie from the Houston Astros during the season and since coming to South Florida, has gone 2-1 with a 2.08 ERA. Overall on the season, he has 11 wins and an ERA of 3.98. He isn’t a big strikeout guy, which could pose a problem down the road because of his inability to consistently find the strike zone. He has faced the Braves once this season and allowed 6 hits in 26 at-bats (.231), earning the victory.

Harang has been a pleasant surprise for the Braves this season since he was brought in during the offseason. He hasn’t been the same pitcher throughout the season that he was during his first 5 starts when he allowed just 3 earned runs in 31.2 innings, but he has been a pitcher that has pitched numerous quality starts and has kept the team in most games. In his career against current members of the Marlins, he has allowed 57 hits in 154 at-bats (.370). Among the players that have had the most success off him include Rafael Furcal (10-for-24, 5 RBI), Garrett Jones (10-for-24, 1 home run, 6 RBI), and Marcell Ozuna (2 home runs).
