Brad Hand will get the start for the Miami Marlins on Tuesday night and he will be facing left-hander Vidal Nuno, who the Arizona Diamondbacks just acquired from the New York Yankees.

Last week, left-hander Brad Hand pitched five innings against the Philadelphia Phillies and ended up with a no decision. He gave up three runs on seven hits in those five innings, and he struck out five batters while walking just one. Through 29 innings this season, Hand has a 6.21 ERA, but he has been able to strike out 25 batters.

Diamondbacks third baseman Martin Prado has two hits in his seven at-bats against Hand with a walk, a double and an RBI. Nick Evans is the only other player on the Diamondbacks who has faced Hand and is 0-for-3 against him.

Vidal Nuno made his last start for the Yankees last Wednesday against the Tampa Bay Rays and came away with his fifth loss of the year. He went five innings in that game and gave up four runs on eight hits while striking out five and walking two.

In his 17 games with the Yankees this season, Nuno had a 2-5 record with a 5.42 ERA. In 78 innings on the mound, he gave up 86 hits and struck out 60 batters while walking 26. He has also given up 15 home runs this season.
