On Friday, Dan Haren will try to end his current two-game losing streak when he and the Los Angeles Dodgers face 10-game winner Lance Lynn and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Dan Haren had his shortest outing of the season last week when he was beaten by the San Diego Padres at home. He was only able to go four innings in that game and he gave up four runs on six hits while walking two batters and striking out five. Haren now has an 8-6 record for the Dodgers, but he has only been able to strike out 6.6 batters per nine innings.

Cardinals outfielder Matt Holliday is 6-for-23 against Haren in his career with two home runs, three RBI and six strikeouts. Veteran Jhonny Peralta is 8-for-27 against him with two walks and two RBI.

Big right-hander Lance Lynn won his second game in a row and his 10th overall last week against the Pittsburgh Pirates. He went 6.2 innings in that start and gave up just two runs on six hits while walking two batters and striking out four. In the first half, Lynn had a 10-6 record with a 3.14 ERA and he only gave up seven home runs in 114.2 innings.

Dodgers outfielder Andre Ethier has three hits in eight at-bats against Lynn with a double, two walks and an RBI. Speedster Dee Gordon is just 1-for-7 against him with two strikeouts.
