Left-hander Hyun-Jin Ryu, who won 14 games for the Los Angeles Dodgers this season, will take on John Lackey and the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday in Game 3 of the NLDS.

Hyun-Jin Ryu was solid in his second Major League season by going 14-7 with a 3.38 ERA in 26 starts. In 152 innings of work, he struck out 8.2 batters per nine innings and only walked 29 batters in 152 innings. He went 0-1 in his final two starts of the year with a very high 7.04 ERA.

Ryu faced the Cardinals once this year and took the loss after giving up three runs in seven innings against them. Catcher Yadier Molina has one hit in three at-bats versus Ryu in his career and is the only Cardinal who has hit a home run off of the left-hander.

John Lackey didn't do as well this year as he did in 2013, but he was still a decent start for the Red Sox and the Cardinals. After moving to St. Louis, he went 3-3 in 10 starts with a 4.30 ERA and he gave up 10.2 hits per nine innings. He went 1-1 in his final three starts of the year with a 2.76 ERA.

Lackey didn't get a chance to face the Dodgers this season. One player on their team that he definitely does not like facing is outfielder Carl Crawford, who is 23-for-48 against him in his career with three doubles, a triple and two home runs.
