On Friday, July 25, the Los Angeles Dodgers will be facing the San Francisco Giants in the first game of their much anticipated three game series. This one will start off with a fun pitching matchup as the Dodgers will send Zack Greinke (11-6, 2.90 ERA) to the mound opposite of Tim Lincecum (9-6, 3.65 ERA).

Greinke will be looking to bounce back after two straight losses. In his last outing, Greinke faced the St. Louis Cardinals and got through six innings. He gave up four runs while striking out three and walking five. It was a season high in walks on the season for Greinke so he’ll be looking to regain his control when he faces the first place Giants.

Current Giants hitters are batting .259 versus Greinke. However, the meat of the San Francisco lineup has fared better against him. Hunter Pence will be looking to continue his hot play as he’s hit two homeruns in his four hits against Greinke.

Tim Lincecum will be looking to the Giants in first place when he takes the mound tonight. In his last start on Sunday against the Marlins, Lincecum went seven innings and gave up three earned while striking out seven and walking two. He ended up taking the loss on the night giving him his sixth of the year. If Lincecum wants to get the win, he’ll have to be careful when facing Yasiel Puig. Puig is questionable but is 5-for-10 against Lincecum in his career.
