The Dodgers and Padres pick back up in game 2 of their 3 game set after San Diego shocked LA in a 3-1 victory on ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball. Dodgers starter Hyun-Jin Ryu pitched well in game 1, not allowing a run over 7 IP but reliever Brian Wilson couldn't hold a 1-0 lead as San Diego scored 3 in the 8th.

Zack Greinke makes his 2014 season debut on Tuesday for LA in his 3rd year with the club. Greinke had a very successful year in his first with the Dodgers going 15-4 with just a 2.63 ERA over 28 starts. Greinke finished 8th in the Cy Young voting but looks to make a charge behind the powerful Dodger offense this season. LA was 4-0 in Greinke's four starts against the Padres last season with the pitcher earning a 2-0 record. Greinke faced San Diego twice in September and allowed only 2 runs in each game and the Padres have just a .220 average against him lifetime.

Ian Kennedy begins his first year with the Padres after being acquired in a trade last July. Kennedy made 10 starts after coming over from the Diamondbacks and notched a 4-2 record to close out the season. Kennedy was 0-2 against the Dodgers a year ago but didn't make a start with them after coming to San Diego. LA batters have hit .238 in their careers against Kennedy over the span of 142 plate appearances.
