Los Angeles Dodgers left-hander Hyun-Jin Ryu will be getting the start for his team on Sunday afternoon and will face off against Eric Stults and the San Diego Padres.

On Monday, Hyun-Jin Ryu picked up his eighth win of the season by defeating the Colorado Rockies at home. He pitched six strong innings in that outing and allowed just one run on three hits while striking out six batters and walking only one. Ryu has only given up five home runs in 76.1 innings of work this season and he has given up just 17 walks.

Chris Denorfia and Will Venable are both 2-for-6 against Ryu with no extra-base hits. None of the current Padres have hit a home run off of the left-hander yet.

Veteran starter Eric Stults lost his fifth game in a row and his ninth overall on Tuesday when he was beaten by the Seattle Mariners on the road. He only made it through five innings in that start and allowed four runs (three earned) on six hits while striking out five hitters and walking one. Stults is now 2-9 on the year with a very high 5.76 ERA.

Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez has five hits in 17 at-bats against Stults with two doubles, two home runs and four RBI. Andre Ethier has just two hits in 15 at-bats against him in his career.
