Roberto Hernandez (8-11) will attempt to snap his two-game losing streak when the Los Angeles Dodgers face rookie right-hander Christian Bergman (2-3) and the Colorado Rockies on Monday night.

Last Tuesday, Roberto Hernandez could only make it through three innings in his start against the San Diego Padres and ended up taking the loss. He gave up five runs (two earned) on five base hits in that outing while striking out three batters and walking one. On the year, Hernandez has a 4.04 ERA and he has only given up 138 hits in 151.1 innings.

Rockies first baseman Justin Morneau is 12-for-36 against Hernandez in his career with three doubles, four home runs and 12 RBI. Charlie Blackmon is hitless in seven at-bats against the right-hander with a walk and a strikeout.

Christian Bergman made his seventh start of the year for the Rockies last week and ended up getting beaten by the New York Mets on the road. He gave up two earned runs in six innings of work that day and walked no one while striking out one. Bergman has a 4.89 ERA this year and he has only been able to strike out 17 batters in 38.2 innings.

The Dodgers will be going up against Bergman for the first time on Monday night. So far this year, he has held left-handed hitters to a .250 batting average, but right-handed batters are hitting .341 against him.
