On Wednesday night, left-hander Hyun-Jin Ryu will be going for his fifth consecutive win when the Los Angeles Dodgers go up against Cincinnati Reds ace Johnny Cueto.

In his last start, Hyun-Jin Ryu went six innings against the Colorado Rockies on the road and picked up his seventh win of the season. He allowed just two earned runs in that game on eight hits while walking two and striking out two. So far this season, Ryu is 7-2 with a 3.08 ERA and has only given up three home runs in 64.1 innings.

Reds third baseman Todd Frazier has just one hit in six at-bats against Ryu in his career, while outfielder Jay Bruce is 1-for-3 against him with a home run and a strikeout.

Right-hander Johnny Cueto had a rare rough start last week when he was beaten by the Philadelphia Phillies at home. He allowed four earned runs in that outing and struck out five while walking one. Cueto has had an excellent season despite that one bad game, going 5-5 with a 1.97 ERA and he has struck out 97 batters in 96 innings of work.

Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp is one player that Cueto has never liked facing, giving up six hits in 12 at-bats to him, including two home runs. Adrian Gonzalez and Andre Ethier are the only other Dodgers who have been able to hit home runs off of him.
