Hyun-Jin Ryu and Trevor Cahill take the mound for the Dodgers and Diamondbacks respectively as the NL West rivals play their second game of the season on the fabled Sydney Australia Cricket Grounds as part of MLB's international opening weekend.

The lefthanded Ryu was an inning eater a year ago for manager Don Mattingly. Over the course of 192 innings pitched, Ryu posted an impressive 3.00 ERA in compiling a 14-8 record. The 27-year-old native of South Korea is poised to have an even more successful 2014 as he's more accustomed to his second year in Major League Baseball. Ryu pitched 16 1/3 innings this Spring, allowing 16 hits but only posting an ERA of 2.20. Diamondbacks players have faced Ryu a combined 99 times while posting a .333 average against him.

Groundball pitcher Trevor Cahill looks to expand on a disappointing 8-10 record a year ago as he makes his 2014 debut for the Diamondbacks. The right-hander was 1-1 this spring but his ERA skyrocketed to 7.88 as he allowed 14 runs in 16 innings pitched. He has had success against the Dodgers though, holding players who have faced him to a combined .247 average in 146 career at bats. LA first baseman Adrian Gonzalez has had the most success against Cahill going 9 for 20 with a homerun.
