The Los Angeles Angels will travel to Toronto on Saturday to take on the Blue Jays in an American League battle of teams hovering around .500. The Angels will send Tyler Skaggs to the mound to face J.A. Happ for the Blue Jays.

Skaggs is 2-1 on the season with a 4.54 ERA. He had a rough outing on Sunday, allowing six runs on eight hits in only 2.2 innings. He struck out two and walked three in this disaster of a game against the Texas Rangers. He came into last game with a 3.34 ERA over his first five starts so this game wasn’t indicative of the way he’s pitched this season. Skaggs has actually played well this year and will look to get back on track when he faces the Blue Jays on Saturday. J.A. Happ will represent the Blue Jays on Saturday. In his second start of the season, Happ will be looking to get his second win of the season. He’s currently sitting at 1-0 with a 1.93 ERA. Happ has given up two runs in 9.1 innings pitched on the season with six strikeouts and nine walks.

Happ will be facing an Angels team that has played well against him in the past. Current Angels players are batting .321 against Skaggs with two home runs and nine RBIs. Albert Pujols is batting .263 against Skaggs with five hits a double, a home run, and four RBIs.
