Los Angeles Angels ace Jered Weaver will be going for his 10th win of the year on Saturday night when he faces off against 25-year-old Miles Mikolas and the Texas Rangers.

On Monday, Jered Weaver had his start against the Toronto Blue Jays cut short due to back tightness, but it wasn't enough to send him to the disabled list. He pitched just two innings before leaving the game and he gave up no hits and struck out one. On the season, Weaver has a 9-6 record for the Angels and has an above-average 3.50 ERA.

Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus has 23 hits in his 69 at-bats against Weaver with four doubles, a triple and two home runs. Third baseman Adrian Beltre has a .216 batting average against Weaver in 74 at-bats with 14 strikeouts.

In his second start of the year, Miles Mikolas had a very rough outing against the Houston Astros and ended up picking up his first loss. He made it through just 3.1 innings in that outing and gave up a whopping nine runs on 12 base hits while walking no one and striking out five. Through two starts, Mikolas is 0-1 with a 12.46 ERA and he has already given up 15 hits in 8.2 innings of work.

None of the Angels have faced Mikolas more twice in their careers, and All-Star Mike Trout is the only player on the team with a hit against the big right-hander.
