Garrett Richards, who hasn't lost a game since May 30, will be on the mound for the Los Angeles Angels on Friday night when they take on Nick Tepesch and the Texas Rangers.

Garrett Richards won his fourth consecutive game on Sunday when he pitched 7.1 strong innings against the Houston Astros. He allowed just one run on six hits in that outing and struck out a season-high 11 batters while walking only one. Richards has given up just four home runs in 116.1 innings and has struck out 119 batters.

Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus has done well against Richards in his career, going 7-for-21 against him with two walks and three RBI. Adrian Beltre is just 4-for-20 against the right-hander, but he is the only player on the Rangers who has ht a home run off of him.

Nick Tepesch had his worst start of the year on Sunday when he was defeated by the New York Mets on the road. He pitched six innings in that start and allowed a season-high six earned runs on five hits while striking out four and walking four. Through nine starts, Tepesch is 3-4 with a 4.29 ERA and he has walked 3.8 batters per nine innings.

Rangers outfielder Kole Calhoun is 1-for-2 against Tepesch and is the only player on the team who has hit a home run off of the big right-hander.
